Sun
The Sun is in Leo until Aug 22 when it enters Virgo:
The Sun is happy in the sign it rules. The focus of energy will be on leaders, fun, romance and of course egos. Everyone fights for the stage and the trophy. Vacations now are generally more fun, especially with children or pets. There is a bit of drama as world leaders scramble for the limelight. When it enters Virgo on the 22nd, the focus turns to health focused topics. There could be an announcement regarding a health crisis or even a new medicine. Hospitals, nurses, doctors and health guidelines may be hot subjects for discussion or even law changes.
Mercury
Mercury is a fast moving planet staying in each sign for only about 3-4 weeks. This means it moves through all 12 signs of the zodiac in one year. It has been called the “Messenger of the Gods”. When it enters a sign it influences our thoughts, planning and reasoning. Mercury enjoys conversations, quick wit, making plans, projects and transportation. In someone’s astrological chart, the house their Mercury is in, along with the sign it is in, reveals how their Mercury influences their speaking, writing, and even shows up in how you walk. Walking around helps your mind/Mercury gather information from the environment, giving you info to share which Mercury can do very well. Mercury is the ruler of the signs Gemini and Virgo and the astrological house that has these signs on the house cusps.
Mercury in Cancer until Aug 9th when it enters Leo. Wow, this will join with the Sun in Leo and offer up big dreams, big plans, big EGOs! At first the focus will still be on security of home and family but then it moves to that “big” part when it enters Leo. Communication may be too much. Remember the saying about putting your money where your mouth is? Well, this is the challenge here. Sometimes, we can embellish a bit too much! Use this Leo Mercury to show integrity and accomplishment in sports, leadership, movies and song writing! Have a little fun. Play games with your children or pets. Famous people may be featured, i.e. in sports, world leaders and movie stars – even your boss on a personal level!
Venus
VENUS is fast moving and travels through all 12 signs of the zodiac in one year like Mercury. Venus has always been aligned with love. But, remember, it also rules money! It is a “feel good”, positive energy. When it connects with one of your own astrological planets it can bring love, money or both, or maybe just a few days where you feel awesome. It can also represent an indulgence in those things that could result in excess! Remember, the energy passes quickly through each sign so you want to be able to live with the consequences or decisions you make while it is actively touching one of your planets, especially the personal ones i.e. Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars.
Venus continues in Virgo until Aug 6 when it enters Libra. We leave the energy of being cautious and analyzing in love and with money. When Venus moves into Libra, a sign it rules, relationships become important. This applies to personal and business relationships. The desire for a partner or to be part of a team or relationship is strong. In this sign, compromising and seeking peace is crystalized. The arts, music and love are all highlighted.
Mars
MARS
takes two years to travel through all 12 signs of the zodiac. It brings energy based on the sign it is transiting. Because it takes 2 years to complete this cycle, it is important to take advantage of the energy it brings to different areas of your life. It can even provide a passionate spark at times as when it touches Venus! It stimulates the mind when it touches Mercury. It is important to maintain a balance when Mars is influencing one of your astrological planets. For example, when it touches your Venus, your passions are ignited and you become involved in a love relationship or activity that you are passionate about. You could also receive an unexpected windfall of money. When Mars touches your Sun there is an increase in your energy and it could become aggressive if in, say, the sign of Aries. Knowing how the planets are energized can help you use that in a way that has positive outcomes.
MARS Last month Mars entered Gemini. It is in Gemini at the beginning of August moving into Cancer on August 11th. Those first few days in Gemini, the energy is focused on mental pursuits, games, manipulations, written agreements, and conversations. There is also the possibility of a back and forth where decisions or plans are concerned. Be aware that there are two sides to every story. Be alert to that and be prepared to go over any contracts or agreements for instance, with a keen eye.
On August 11th, Mars will enter Cancer. Home and family are the focus now. There may be residential repairs, moving family members, opening a restaurant, etc. There is a strong desire to nurture, to care for, to protect, especially those we love and care about. A Cancer mars is motivated and action oriented. The timing of this entry into Cancer is powerful as a Solar Eclipse in Leo occurs tomorrow, Aug 12th. Thankfully, Mars is not causing any major conflicts with other planets. So use the energy wisely without causing emotional upsets and you will be happy with the results. Those born in late June may feel agitated or opposed. Get busy in a physical way and that feeling will calm down.
